About Myan

Myan is currently an author, speaker and publisher. He has recently co-authored the autobiography of former All Black, Va'iga Tuigamala, Inga: My Story - which saw him travel to England to interview rugby greats: Jonny Wilkinson, Jason Robinson, Martin "Chariots" Offiah, Rob Andrews - not forgetting Kiwi stars - Michael Jones, Apollo Perelini and current Blues coach - Pat Lam.

Together with his wife, Jolene, they immigrated to New Zealand  from South Africa in 2000 and in 2007 to 2009 presented their own TV show targeted towards migrants in NZ. Currently they attend Encounter Christian Centre in West Auckland and are itinerant speakers. Myan speaks at Promise Keepers NZ coordinating the 18-30 years elective, STANCE, since 2008.

His first book From the Pit to the Palace is based on the life of Joseph and is intertwined with Myan's earlier life in South Africa and migrating to NZ - it is filled with  godly inspiration to help us live victoriously.  Myan's second book, You Can, focuses on making wise choices to live a rewarding life. The Foreword is written by Kiwi icon and first double amputee to climb Mt Everest, Mark Ingles.

Myan is currently in the process of  publishing his testimony of coming to faith in Christ from Hinduism. Foreword is by Pastor Tak Bhana from Westcity Christian Centre, Auckland. 

Myan is passionate about sports and has recently completed a sports chaplaincy course with Athletes In Action (NZ) and serves on the Leadership Committee of the New Zealand Christian Football Association

MIGRATING TO NEW ZEALAND IN 2000
Due to a life changing moment in 2000 he "sold" his business to focus on teaching and coaching. Migrating to New Zealand he undertook Biblical Worldview Teacher training at MASTERS Institute in Auckland, NZ completing in 2003. He further completed a Post Graduate Bachelor of Education at the National Institute of Christian Education (NICE) based in Sydney, Australia.

MYAN IN SOUTH AFRICA
1975 - Born in Durban, South Africa into a Hindu family.

1994 - Born again Christian. (More info click "Myan's Testimony") Completed Bible College & appointed Youth Pastor (1996), then small group leader & later area leader for local church.

1996 - Myan established his own business , focusing on Accounting and Financial Planning. Through his own success he began mentoring & advising businessmen on entrepreneurial & management skills. In recognition of his excellent work he received numerous awards.

1997 - married Jolene & currently have 3 daughters aged 10, 7 & 4.

1999 - Began ministering weekly radio Bible teachings on Durban's Good News Community Radio (GNCR). 

Myan excelled at many sports & was a High School district Rep for the 100m Sprint, volleyball, tennis, table-tennis, also playing soccer & cricket at pro level after his schooling- due to the Apartheid era in South Africa the opportunities for "non-European" athletes were limited.
